LUCY HASLAR

In May 2008, Lucy graduated from the prestigious Eastman School of Music, New York with a Masters degree in Performance and Literature.  Here she was awarded the Eileen Malone Scholarship, Eastman School of Music Performer’s Certificate and the Robert Barlow Award for Excellence in Harp Performance. Previous to this she attended the Royal Northern College of Music, where she obtained her bachelors degree with first class honours.

Since her return to the UK Lucy has embarked upon an exciting and busy career as a soloist and orchestral musician.  She has performed with various orchestras around the country including the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the  BBC Symphony Orchestra.  As a soloist she has performed the Badings Concerto for Harp and Wind Orchestra and Saint-saens’ Morceau de Concert. Earlier this year she was resident harpist onboard Fred Olsen’s Black Watch where she gave several sold-out performances. Lucy has performed many solo recitals around the London area; upcoming concerts include performances for the Camphill Trust and the Bushey Music and Arts Festival.  She enjoys collaborating with other artists and exploring new ways for music to be performed.
